The event

Refugees Organised Against AIDS (ROAA) is enforcing the role of the global refugees in promoting health and fight against sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV / AIDS. To put an end to the epidemic of HIV/AIDS by 2030 we need refugees to take up the challenges, take the lead and their destiny into their own hands.

AIDS2020: Virtual Conference in our case will start from June 13th to July 14th, 2020 to provide opportunities for engagement in health promotion activities using innovative ideas and using solutions to solve the perceptible challenges as we live them.

We have been involved in dedicated campaigns which enabled us meet our planned objectives including cooperating with local CBOs and NGOs in many countries all over the world. Our activities cascaded into the “Strategic Public Health Promotion, Awareness and Advocacy Campaign which is not just a direction or position, it is our ambition to question the status quo and to develop and implement new community-based approaches. Refugees are at the forefront of the movement. We are innovative people from a vast background who work on real challenges; we think out-of-the-box and connect with networks.

We are design thinkers who have developed tangible tools which can be interrogate for value, outcomes and outputs. We engage in strategic dialogue sessions where we hold mentored discussions. We own our ideas and subject them to applicability in form of projects or programmes.
